Dawn and David Fishman are second-generation jewelers who grew up near art and custom jewelry. Their parents, Paul and Rosemary Fishman, started a jewelry store in 1974.
The Fishman kids emptied the trash, paid bills and handled the grunt work of running a family business.
As a teen, David began to learn the craft of setting stones and making jewelry the way artisans have learned for generations—studying side-by-side with the artists who worked in his father’s store.
Surrounded by beauty and art, Dawn developed a keen eye for fashion and jewelry design. After high school, she studied art at Purdue University and had a career in public relations.
Both studied at the Gemological Institute of America, and when their parents’ health declined, the brother-and-sister duo took the reins of the family business. Today they’re grooming the third generation of family jewelers to serve a new era of jewelry consumers.
Dani Fishman, David’s daughter, studied fine art and jewelry design. She joined Fishman Fine Jewelers with a passion for continuing the family legacy—making people happy with custom jewelry that can only be theirs.
That’s our story. As master jewelers and artisans, it’s our joy and privilege to create distinctive jewelry that tells your story.
